CBP issued guidance on additional derivative steel products that will be subject to Section 232 duties starting June 23.
As the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee voted at its June 18 quarterly meeting to pass along to CBP various recommendations offered by the subcommittees, CBP received public comments seeking clarification on whether the agency still will be processing paper payments after Sept. 30.
CBP is launching the Forced Labor Allegation Portal, which the agency says will allow trade users to submit forced labor allegations anonymously. Users of CBP's Trade Violations Reporting systems will be directed to this new portal.

The International Trade Commission began a Section 337 investigation on allegations that 10 Chinese companies are importing and selling absorption refrigeration systems that infringe patents held by ARPC, maker of the Fridge Defend product, the ITC said in a June 18 notice (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1453). Fridge Defend filed the complaint in May and is seeking a general exclusion order and cease and desist orders against the respondents to bar from entry "certain boiler protection for absorption refrigeration systems" that violate the complainants' patents (see 2505200040).
The International Trade Commission began two Section 337 investigations on allegations that 20 companies, primarily from China, are importing and selling ink cartridges and components that infringe patents held by Epson, the ITC said in a pair of June 17 notices (ITC Inv. Nos. 337-TA-1451, -1452). Epson filed the complaint in May and is seeking a general exclusion order and cease and desist orders against the respondents to bar from entry "unauthorized, aftermarket ink cartridges, and components thereof" that violate the complainants' patents (see 2505160012). The dual investigations cover the same respondents but each covers five different patents.
The International Trade Commission is issuing a limited exclusion order banning imports of dryer wall exhaust vent assemblies (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1437) from Xiamen Dirongte Trading Co., Ltd., it said in a June 18 notice. Additionally, the ITC set a bond in the amount of 100% of the entered value of the infringing products imported during the period of presidential review, and issued cease and desist orders against the company.
