CBP will on Nov. 4 deploy an enhancement to entry summary queries in ACE, incorporating “data elements from ACE Collections into the Entry Summary query” and moving the query “from the legacy electronic data interchange (EDI) platform to the current ACE EDI platform,” the agency said in a trade information notice released Sept. 19. Beginning Nov. 4, Automated Broker Interface filers, including importer self-filers and sureties, “will begin querying Entry Summary in ACE and will see updated input and output records,” CBP said.
CBP should create a new alert in ACE when importers of merchandise potentially subject to antidumping and countervailing duties may be required to submit a certification that their goods are not subject merchandise, the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee said in a recommendation adopted at its quarterly public meeting on Sept. 20.
