Clear Terms

Search Primer

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match together (e.g. "China import").

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons to find either word (e.g. AD/CVD antidumping).

Acronyms: Use all capital letters (e.g., ACE).

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., CBP +releases).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., -ruling).

Singular form: Use the singular form when doing multi-word terms (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls").

Shortest word form: When you have different word forms in a quoted term, include the shortest version if it is the last part of the expression (e.g., "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

CBP Targets $187 Million Worth of Shipments for Suspected Forced Labor in December

CBP in December identified 450 shipments valued at more than $187 million for further examination based on the suspected use of forced labor, including goods subject to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and withhold release orders, the agency said in its most recent operational statistics update. The value of those shipments is up from November, when CBP identified 331 shipments worth more than $125 million (see 2312260048). Also in December, CBP seized 1,291 shipments that contained counterfeit goods valued at more than $86 million if the items had been genuine, the agency said.

CBP Reimbursement, Donations Partnerships at Ports Up a Third From 2021 to 2023

The number of CBP Reimbursement Program partnerships at ports of entry increased by 135 to a total of 398 over the two-year period from October 2021 to October 2023, the Government Accountability Office said in a report released Jan. 24. CBP also entered into three new Donations Acceptance Program partnerships during that time, GAO said.
