The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a press release stating that the U.S., Dominican Republic, and the five Central American nations of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua have signed an agreement adding the Dominican Republic to the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). According to a USTR fact sheet on this signing, as with the Central American countries, individual access schedules were negotiated with the Dominican Republic for goods, agriculture, services, investment, and government procurement.
