CBP posted a June update on its progress with various ACE capabilities and other projects, such as the Document Image System, PGA Message Set, e-Manifest: rail and Sea (M1), ACE Truck, Automated Export Processing etc.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hosting a Webinar on June 21 at 3 p.m. on updating the broker regulations (19 CFR Part 111), it said in a CSMS message June 18. The webinar will focus on broker "bona fides" and is the second of several webinars slated for the summer of 2012 as part of CBP's Role of the Broker Initiative.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting comments by Aug. 20 for an existing information collection concerning the Application and Approval to Manipulate, Examine, Sample, or Transfer Goods. CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection with no change to the burden hours or to the information collected. The notice ran in the Federal Register June 19.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection released a spreadsheet showing active AD/CVD cases and the associated case numbers, ISO country codes, tariff numbers, and short descriptions of each case as of May 15 . This information alone should not be relied upon in determining whether an AD/CVD case is currently active, or whether merchandise falls under the scope of AD/CVD order, said CBP. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will extend to the comment period on an existing information gathering regarding Cargo Container and Road Vehicle Certification for Transport under Customs Seal, said a notice in the Federal Register June 15. Comments will be due July 16. CBP proposes the extension of time without change to the burden hours.
Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) was last updated 6/13/2012 with 22 rulings, bringing the total number of searchable rulings to 171,555. The most recent ruling is dated 6/1/2012 12:00:00 AM.

The messages are available by searching on the listed CBP message number at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. (CBP occasionally adds backdated messages without otherwise indicating which message was added. ITT will include a message date in parentheses in such cases.)
