U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting a 30-day extension of the comment period to June 1, 2012, on its request for comments on an existing information collection, the Bonded Warehouse Proprietor's Submission (CBP Form 300). CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection with no change to the burden hours or to CBP Form 300. The request ran in the Federal Register May 2, 2012.

Tropical Shipping USA applied to be a Trade Enforcement Centralized Examination Station (CES) at the port of West Palm Beach, Fla., U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in an information bulletin. The application was the only one submitted in response to the February 23, 2012, Information Bulletin No. 12-011 announcing the West Palm Beach, Fla. CES solicitation period, which ended April 23, 2012.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection approved SGS North America as a commercial gauger and laboratory, according to a notice on that ran in the Federal Register May 1, 2012. SGS is approved to gauge and accredited to test petroleum and petroleum products, organic chemicals and vegetable oils for customs purposes, in accordance with the provisions of 19 CFR 151.12 and 19 CFR 151.13, the notice said. U.S. Customs and Border protection issued a minor correction to a previous notice on the tariff-rate quota for tuna. The correction ran in the Federal Register May 1, 2012.

Some Customs broker licenses were inadvertently revoked on November 18, 2011, said U.S. Customs and Border Protection in a notice a the Federal Register notice May 1, 2012.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection made a final determination that the country of origin of certain Agilent oscilloscopes for purposes of U.S. government procurement is Singapore. The final determination ran in the Federal Register May 1, 2012.
