The Commerce Department intends to recognize four Canadian companies as cross-owned entities for the purposes of countervailing duties on softwood lumber products from Canada (C-122-858). The agency in the preliminary results of a changed circumstances review found Interfor Corporation, EACOM Timber Corporation, Chaleur Forest Products Inc., and Chaleur Forest Products LP are cross-owned entities. Commerce noted that the purpose of the CCR doesn't include identifying the applicable cash deposit rates for the companies in question but said that all four have already been assigned the cash deposit rate that non-selected companies have.

The Commerce Department is correcting its recently amended final results (see 2312260040) of the antidumping duty administrative review on certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from South Korea (A-580-870), covering the period Sept. 1, 2019, through Aug. 31, 2020.

Finished chassis imported by Pitts Enterprises that include Chinese-origin axles and landing gears are covered by antidumping and countervailing subsidy duties on chassis from China, the Commerce Department said in a Jan. 10 scope ruling.

Fifteen models of torque tubes imported by NEXTracker aren't covered by antidumping and countervailing duty orders on circular welded carbon quality steel pipe from China, the Commerce Department said in a Jan. 8 scope ruling.

The International Trade Commission on Jan. 9 announced a new Section 337 investigation that could result in a general exclusion order barring all imports of self-balancing electric skateboards that infringe patents held by Future Motion (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1386). The proceeding stems from a complaint filed Dec. 5 by Future Motion alleging Floatwheel, Smilo, Gaea and SoverSky are importing one-wheeled electric skateboards, which move in response to a rider’s weight distribution, that copy its patented technologies used in the Future Motion OneWheel electric skateboard (see 2312120034). The ITC will also consider cease and desist orders, as well as alternatively a limited exclusion order, against the following respondents to the investigation:
