The International Trade Commission is terminating the Section 337 patent-based investigation of certain large scale integrated circuit semiconductor chips and products containing the same (Inv. No. 337-TA-716) based upon a settlement agreement. The investigation was based on a complaint filed by Panasonic Corporation of Japan against ten respondents, including several Freescale Semiconductor companies and Motorola, Inc. The International Trade Administration frequently issues notices on antidumping and countervailing duty orders, investigations, etc. which Broker Power considers to be "minor” in importance as they concern actions that occur after an order is issued, neither announce nor cause any changes to an order’s duty rates, scope, affected firms, or effective period, etc.
The International Trade Commission has issued a limited exclusion order and two cease and desist orders in its section 337 patent-based investigation of certain 4X4 automotive vehicles and designs. The ITC has also terminated the investigation.

The International Trade Commission is terminating the Section 337 patent-based investigation of certain connecting devices (quick clamps) for modular compressed air conditioning units (Inv. No. 337-TA-587), which was based on a complaint filed by Norgren, Inc. against four respondents. The ITC has determined to terminate the investigation with a finding of no violation of section 337 because the asserted claims of U.S. Patent No. 5,372,392 are invalid for obviousness. The International Trade Administration has issued a notice that it is postponing the preliminary determination in the antidumping duty investigation of multilayered wood flooring from China (A-570-970).
The International Trade Commission is terminating the Section 337 patent-based investigation of certain Devices Having elastomeric gel and components thereof (Inv. No. 337-TA-732), which was based on a complaint filed by Interactive Life Forms, LLC, of Austin, TX, against 26 respondents. The ITC has determined to terminate the investigation as the complaint has been withdrawn against the the last remaining respondent in the investigation, Polydigitech Inc. The International Trade Administration has issued two corrections to its February 18, 2011 Federal Register notice of amended final results of administrative review of stainless steel sheet and strip in coils from Mexico (A-201-822) for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The ITA incorrectly stated in its notice that cash deposit requirements were effective for entries on or after February 14, which should be February 18 (the date of publication); and the ITA incorrectly referred to a 21.14% AD duty rate for ThyssenKrupp Mexinox S.A. de C.V. in the original final results of review, which should be 21.16%. The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of the administrative review of the antidumping duty order on persulfates from China (A-570-847) covering the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results.
