Taiwan Polyvinyl Alcohol: ITA Issues AD Duty Order

The International Trade Administration is issuing an antidumping duty order on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) from Taiwan (A-583-841).

AD Liquidation Reinstated & No Cash Deposits/Bonds Required for March 13

The six month period for which the AD suspension of liquidation may remain in effect before the order is issued began on September 13, 2010 (the publication date of the preliminary determination) and ended on March 12, 2011.

As the ITC’s final affirmative injury determination was published on March 14, 2011, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to terminate the AD suspension of liquidation and to release all bonds and refund all AD duty cash deposits on unliquidated entries of PVA from Taiwan with a time of entry on March 13, 2011.

AD Suspension of Liquidation Resumes, Cash Required on/after March 14

The AD suspension of liquidation will resume for all entries of PVA from Taiwan with a time of entry on or after March 14, 2011.

The ITA will also instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers would normally deposit estimated duties on this merchandise, estimated AD cash deposits on entries of PVA from Taiwan with a time of entry on or after March 14, 2011 at the following estimated AD duty rates1.
