Comments on Unfair Trade Practices Sought for Reciprocal Trade Push
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is inviting comments on unfair trade practices, which could be policies that undermine U.S. production or reduce U.S. exports to that country.

USTR wants commenters to describe the situation, how it affects their businesses (business confidential information is protected), and provide a dollar estimate of the cost of the involved policies. The agency also is asking for commenters to explain how they arrived at those figures.
The notice, expected to be published soon in the Federal Register, said it particularly would like submissions on Canada, China, Mexico, the EU, India, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the U.K. and Vietnam. "These countries cover 88 percent of total goods trade with the United States," the notice explained.
