  • Schlumberger Technology Corporation challenging CBP's denial of protests on the classification of its proppants. CBP classified the products in subheading 6909.19.50 (4%). Schlumberger says the products should have been classified in subheadings 2606.00.00 (free) or 2818.10.20 (1.3%) or 3824.90.39 (free). Summons filed Sept. 8.
  • Districargo challenging the Commerce Department's continuation of antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China. Summons filed Sept. 8.
  • American Service Insurance (Surety for Fina Food Trading, Inc.) challenging CBP's lab testing and testing methodology for syrup. Summons filed Sept. 8.
  • Totes-Isotoner Corporation challenging CBP's denial of protests on the classification of its gloves designed for use in sports. CBP classified the products in subheading 4203.29.3020 (14%) and 4203.29.0500 (12.6%). The company says the products should have been classified in subheadings 4203.21.5500 (3.5%) and 4203.21.60 (5.5%) or 4203.21.80 (5.9%) Summons filed Sept. 9.
  • Vulcan Threaded Products challenging the final negative injury determination made by the U.S. International Trade Commission for Certain Steel Threaded Rod from India o Aug. 22. Summons filed Sept. 10.
  • Toscelik Profil challenging the Commerce Department's review of countervailing duties on Circular Welded Carbon Steel Pipes And Tubes From Turkey for 2012. Summons filed Sept. 10.
  • Kwo Lee, Inc. challenging CBP's requirement to post single entry bonds on certain entries based on the PRC-wide entity rate of $4.71 per kilogram on shipments of fresh garlic from the People’s Republic of China subject to an antidumping duty order. Complaint filed Sept. 10
  • International Fresh Trade Corp. challenging CBP's requirement to post single entry bonds on certain entries based on the PRC-wide entity rate of $4.71 per kilogram on shipments of fresh garlic from the People’s Republic of China subject to an antidumping duty order. Complaint filed Sept. 10
  • Borusan Mannesmann Boru Sanayi ve Ticaret challenging the Commerce Department's countervailing duty determination on certain oil country tubular goods from Turkey. Summons filed Sept. 10.
  • Husteel Co. challenging the Commerce Department's antidumping duty determination on certain oil country tubular goods from Korea. Summons filed Sept. 10.

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Sept. 8-14:

  • Swiff-Train Co.appealing the Court of International Trade's judgment sustaining the U.S. International Trade Commission’s material injury determinations in the investigations of multilayered wood flooring from the People’s Republic of China. Filed Sept. 8
