The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on chlorinated isocyanurates from China (A-570-898) for four companies. The AD cash deposit rates, which are effective November 16, 2011, are expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.
According to the World Customs Organization, the APEC Leaders’ Honolulu Declaration - Toward a Seamless Regional Economy” released on November 13, 2011, builds on the 2010 Yokohama Vision and reaffirms these leaders' support to further open markets and facilitate trade, and is supported by the November 11 Statement of the 2011 APEC Ministers’ Meeting. Both Statements highlight the importance of various Customs-related issues in reducing the time, cost and uncertainty of moving goods in the Asia/Pacific region.
Various documents and joint statements have been issued as a result of the annual meeting of the 21 Ministers of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, which wrapped up on November 13, 2011. During the meeting, the Ministers agreed to adopt market-driven innovation policies, reduce tariffs and eliminate other barriers to trade in environmental goods and services, and improve regulatory environments to reduce unnecessary burdens on businesses.

These rates, which are effective November 4, 2011, are expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.

The International Trade Administration has issued its final affirmative determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of multilayered wood flooring from China (C-570-971). The countervailing duty rates for affected companies have been reduced for all firms but two, the China-wide rate has been revised, and 14 tariff numbers have been dropped from the scope of the investigation. Although this final CV determination takes effect October 18, 2011, ITA will only require CV cash deposits of estimated CV duties if it issues a CV duty order.
The International Trade Administration has issued its final affirmative antidumping duty determination on multilayered wood flooring from China (A-570-970), which reduces the AD rates for all firms but two and revises the rate for the China-wide entity. The ITA has also dropped 14 tariff numbers from the scope of the investigation. This final determination, which is effective October 18, 2011, is expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.
