U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that it is delaying the deployment of enhanced ACE capabilities related to Entry Summary, Accounts and Revenue (ESAR) that was scheduled for October 3, 2010.

The Office of Personnel Management has issued a proposed rule to amend its regulations to reflect changes in the retirement benefits available to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in order to establish mandatory retirement of officers at age 57, among other things. Comments are due by November 1, 2010.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting comments on an information collection regarding CBP Form 7512, Transportation Entry and Manifest of Goods Subject to CBP Inspection and Permit, and Form 7512A, Continuation Sheet, which allow CBP to exercise proper control over merchandise moving in-bond (merchandise that has not entered the commerce of the U.S.). CBP will be submitting to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval. Comments are due by November 1, 2010.
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that San Francisco’s Air Cargo Building voicemail system is now operational. On September 24, 2010, CBP announced that the voicemail system was not working.
