U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has issued a press release on its Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) to identify and confiscate counterfeit goods at a Washington Nationals game in Washington, D.C. The release states that the night netted one arrest and 180 items with a street value of $3,600.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has sent to the Office of Management and Budget a proposed rule to create a border crossing at Boquillas, Texas in the Big Bend National Park. It would be established as a Class B port of entry for immigration purposes and as a Customs station for customs purposes, under the supervision of the El Paso port of entry. CBP and the National Park service plan to partner on the construction of a joint use facility in the Big Bend National Park which will provide facility requirements to operate a border crossing.
According to CBP sources, the ACE Portal functionality enhancements that were part of M1 (e-Manifest: ocean and rail) included benefits for all ACE Portal users and were deployed on August 29 and September 6, 2011 as scheduled.
