The deployed ACE Portal enhancements include:
- new reports for importers and brokers (Multi-Modal Manifest (MMM)1 and FIRMS codes reports), and access to reports for rail and sea carriers
- new functionality to share customized reports for all ACE report users
- entry banks for rail line release2
- in-bond authorizations by importing carriers, so they can designate which transportation companies are allowed to use their custodial bond to move imported cargo in-bond
- viewing of continuous bond data by Rail and Sea Carrier Portal Accounts
- VOC maintenance of conveyance data in ACE Portal Account
1CBP states that MMM reports will not display data until CBP notifies the trade that the report data has been loaded. Initially only 18 months of data will be loaded for the 24 hour refresh reports; however, it will eventually contain up to five years of data.
2CBP extended the deadline for brokers to create these ACE entry banks, due to certain problems, to October 14, 2011. See ITT's Online Archives or 11092702 for details.
(See ITT's Online Archives 11082909 stating that the M1 Code was loaded on August 27, 2011 and the enhancements were expected to be loaded on August 29 and September 6.)
