CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF 1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced that it has concluded a successful intellectual property rights enforcement operation that ran from September 19 through 23. CBP officers in Cincinnati assigned to the DHL hub, with the support of import specialists from Cleveland, have been targeting and seizing arriving parcels containing IPR violations. As a result of the operation, 289 seizures of IPR-infringing merchandise were initiated. The total manufacturer's suggested retail price seized during the operation was $5,390,671.73.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a memorandum announcing the opening of the fiscal year 2011 duty-free tariff preference level and lesser-developed beneficiary countries (LDBC) sublimit for certain apparel from African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) beneficiary countries, as specified in HTS 9819.11.09 and 9819.11.12.

In the September 28, 2011 issue of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bulletin (Vol. 45, No. 40), CBP published a notice on its modification of two rulings and similar treatment regarding the tariff classification of wader tops. CBP also published a notice to correct a typographical error in its proposed revocation of eight rulings regarding hulled pumpkin seeds.
