Clear Terms

Search Primer

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match together (e.g. "forced labor").

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons to find either word (e.g. AD/CVD CBP).

Acronyms: Use all capital letters (e.g., ACE).

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., tariffs +Canada).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., FDA -alert).

Simplest form: Use the simplest form of a term (e.g. "metal" instead of "metals" or "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

CBP Updates its TRQ/TPL Threshold to Fill List

CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.

Chicago Announces CES Application Period for Peoria

CBP's Port of Chicago has issued a Pipeline announcing the Centralized Examination Station (CES) application period and selection process for the Port of Peoria, IL. Applications to operate a CES must be received by 4:30 pm on October 8, 2010. Public comments are due by 4:30 pm on September 8, 2010. Pipeline 10-14 (dated 08/09/10) available via email by sending a request to documents@brokerpower.com.
