Broker Power is now issuing weekly summary reports highlighting the most active textile and apparel tariff preference levels1 from U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s “Quota Weekly Commodity Status Report.” BP’s weekly report also lists the TRQ commodities on CBP’s weekly “TRQ/TPL Threshold to Fill List.”
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the low-duty tariff preference level (1) for Mexico is currently "on hold."

CBP has posted a document listing the Remote Location Filing operational locations. The list includes the port name, port code, the Electronic Invoice Program (EIP)/RLF coordinator, the phone number (and extension, if applicable), and the fax number for each location. CBP has issued a memorandum announcing a special import quota of 14,547,758 kg for upland cotton that is provided for in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter III, U.S. Note 6 and is entered under HTS 9903.52.96. (CBP notes that this quantity is not subject to the TRQs in Chapter 52 Additional U.S. Notes 5 through 10.) The quota period is May 13 - November 8, 2010. To be counted under this quota, the cotton must be imported during this period and purchased not later than August 10, 2010. The opening date was May 13, 2010. CBP's Port of Miami has issued an Information Bulletin announcing that it will hold an outreach seminar concerning safeguarding procedures of regulated agricultural commodities transiting the U.S. The seminar will be held on June 9, 2010.
