China’s Commerce Vice Minister stated on August 1, 2010 that in the latter half of the year, China’s policy for foreign trade will give priority to stability. However, as China’s foreign trade environment is facing uncertainty, export rebates for high consumption and high pollution products may be necessarily fine-tuned in accordance with the strategic requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction.

India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has posted statistics and information on India's services exports. The Ministry states that with the new Foreign Trade Policy (2009-14), incentives have been given to the services sector. Under the “Served from India” scheme, all services providers who earned a certain amount in the preceding or current financial year are eligible for "duty credit scrips" and other export benefits.

The European Commission has posted a July 2010 Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Newsletter which summarizes the activities of the EC's SPS team, including its World Trade Organization SPS activities, its World Organization for Animal Health activities, and certain bilateral and regional activities.
India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a press release on U.S. and European Union subsidization of agriculture, which it describes as a substantial trade distortion. The Ministry quotes Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation statistics which put the level of support of agricultural producers at 9% in the U.S. in 2007-09 (expressed as a percentage of producer revenues) and 23% in the EU. The Ministry states that if the key, draft WTO proposals on agriculture are ever agreed to, the EU and U.S. would be required to reduce their levels of support to farmers by 55%-80%.
The European Commission has initiated an investigation of possible circumvention of certain countervailing and antidumping duty measures imposed on imports of biodiesel originating in the U.S. The EC states that the request was lodged on June 30, 2010 by the European Biodiesel Board and contains sufficient preliminary evidence that the CV measures on imports of biodiesel from the U.S. are being circumvented by means of the transhipment of biodiesel via Canada and Singapore and by exports of biodiesel in a blend containing by weight 20% or less of biodiesel.
The World Trade Organization has posted a notification by Panama requesting extension of the transition period for the elimination of export subsidies classified as prohibited under Article 3.1 of the WTO Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (SCM).
