The European Commission has posted statistics of its antidumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard activities for the first eight months of 2010. Among other things, the report states that there were 132 antidumping and 8 countervailing measures in force and 65 investigations were on-going at the end of August 2010.
The European Union has issued a Frequently Asked Questions document on its 2009 "sweep" investigation of websites selling electronic goods. The purpose of the sweep was to to ensure that websites comply with EU consumer protection laws such as the requirement to provide full contact details and to inform buyers of their right to cancel an online transaction.
