The International Trade Commission is terminating the Section 337 patent-based investigation of certain integrated circuits, chipsets, and products containing same including televisions, media players, and cameras (Inv. No. 337-TA-709), which was based on a complaint filed by Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. against 17 respondents, including certain Panasonic companies, Best Buy, JVC, and Wal-Mart. The ITC has determined to terminate the investigation with a finding of no violation of section 337. The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of the first antidumping duty administrative review of citric acid and certain citrate salts from Canada (A-122-853)for the period November 20, 2008 through May 19, 2009, and May 29, 2009 through April 30, 20101.
In antidumping duty administrative reviews involving nonmarket economy countries (such as China and Vietnam), the International Trade Administration currently instructs CBP to liquidate entries from non-reviewed exporters at the cash-deposit rate used at time of entry. ITA is now proposing to instruct CBP to liquidate some of these entries at the NME-wide rate, which is often quite higher.
