CBP also posted a version of its CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) electronic query report of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.
CBP New York will hold a "Role of the Broker" roundtable on Sept. 18 focusing on the rewrite of 19 CFR Part 111 broker regulations, it said in an informational pipeline. CBP issued a CSMS message announcing the issuance of Harmonized System Update 1208 on changes to the 2012 Harmonized Tariff Schedule. This update contains 27,420 ABI records and 4,835 harmonized tariff records. The changes were made to adjust the Cotton Board’s supplemental assessment on imports. Adjustments required by the authentication of the 2012 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) are included. The modified records are currently available to all ABI participants and can be retrieved electronically via the procedures indicated in the CATAIR. CBP is correcting paragraph (b)(4) of 19 CFR Section 4.7, it said in a Federal Register notice Sept. 6.
In the Aug. 15 issue of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bulletin (Vol. 46, No. 37), CBP published two notices of revocation of rulings and treatment regarding the tariff classification of Livewire flash devices and over current detectors.

CBP said in a Sept. 5 email the Webinar scheduled for Sept. 6 on Continuing Education is canceled. The agency didn't say why it was canceled but said "information will be provided when this webinar is rescheduled." CBP Los Angeles will hold a trade forum on Sept. 12 to discuss planned updates to CBP's and the Food and Drug Administration's refusal/redelivery process, it said in a public notice. Topics will include FDA exams and entry review, exports and destructions, the new CBP/FDA joint redelivery process, and CBP's refund and cancellation policy, said the notice. CBP released its Sept. 5 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 46, No. 37). While the Bulletin does not contain any ruling articles, it does include a World Customs Organization meeting draft agenda and Court of International Trade decisions. CBP also issued a notice announcing that it has granted "Lever-Rule" protection to American Honda Motor Co., Inc.’s “Honda” trademark.
