Refrigerator/freezer trim kits made from extruded aluminum and imported by Meridian Products are within the scope of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China (A-570-967 / C-570-968), the International Trade Administration said in a scope ruling. Meridian argued that the merchandise constitutes “finished goods kits,” and thus are excluded from the purview of the AD/CV duty orders. But relying on the language of the scope and past scope rulings, the ITA said the AD/CV duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China apply.
