“With FDA positioned to commence the rulemaking process requiring additional records for high-risk foods, the food industry is anxiously awaiting direction from the Agency regarding the expectations of a product tracing system,” said the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in a report on the product tracing pilot programs it conducted for the Food and Drug Administration. The pilot programs began in September 2011, and included companies involved in supply chains for frozen and dry Kung Pao chicken, as well as fresh tomatoes. According to the report, the pilot participants appeared to have in place many of the tools necessary to capture and submit data required for product tracing, although inconsistencies in the data often delayed interpretation by IFT.

The International Trade Administration posted a package of documents that companies must submit for its recently initiated antidumping duty administrative review on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890). Included in the package are filing instructions, certificates of service and accuracy, the quantity and value questionnaire, the separate rate application, and an additional questionnaire for companies requesting separate rate status. Each document is accompanied by instructions for completion.
Esselte’s lined stone paper is within the scope of the antidumping duty order on certain lined paper products from China (A-570-901), said the International Trade Administration in a final scope ruling. No parties submitted comments after the preliminary determination, so the ITA finalized its preliminary affirmative scope determination.
