The Court of International Trade affirmed an International Trade Commission negative injury determination for finished heat sinks in the antidumping and countervailing duty investigations of aluminum extrusions from China (A-570-967). The ITC found injury to U.S. industry by imports of other types of aluminum extrusions, so the International Trade Administration issued AD and CV duty orders. These orders excluded finished heat sinks from the scope, however.

The International Trade Commission issued a general exclusion order barring unlicensed entry of dimmer light switches for home and commercial use that infringe patents held by Lutron Electronics, and set a bond of 100 percent of entered value of covered products during the period of Presidential review.1 The ITC also issued cease and desist orders prohibiting American Top Electric Corp., Big Deal Electric Corp., Elemental LED (d/b/a Diode LED), and Zhejiang Yuelong Mechanical and Electrical Co. from importing, selling, marketing, advertising, distributing, offering for sale, transferring (except for exportation), and soliciting U.S. agents or distributors for infringing products. All four of these respondents were found to be in default in the ITC’s investigation of certain lighting control devices including dimmer switches and parts thereof (337-TA-776).
