Taiwan PET Film: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip from Taiwan (A-583-837), calculating a 1.06% AD rate for Nan Ya Plastics Corp. If the agency's finding is continued in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from Nan Ya entered between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024, would be assessed AD at importer-specific rates.

Commerce also preliminarily found Shinkong Materials Technology Corporation (SMTC)/Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation (SSFC) -- considered a single entity, SMTC/SSFC -- had no reviewable, suspended entries during the period under review. If Commerce confirms these findings in its final results, current AD cash deposit rates in effect for SMTC/SSFC won't change as a result of this review. Any subject merchandise entered under AD case numbers for SMTC/SSFC would be liquidated at the 2.4% all-others rate.
Only the exporter for which an administrative review was requested is covered by this review. Cash deposit rates for all other exporters won't change. Commerce has ordered liquidation “as entered” for entries during the period of review from all exporters not under review (ADCVDWeb Messages # 4269402).
(The period of review is 07/01/23 - 06/30/24. See the notice for additional information, including the scope of the order, potential cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.)
