- CBP said Sept. 25 that its officials with the Office of Field Operations at the Roma Port of Entry cargo facility in Texas intercepted $13 million in alleged methamphetamine concealed in a tractor-trailer hauling a shipment of carbonated soft drinks attempting entry to the U.S. from Mexico. The interception, which occurred on Sept. 22, involved the seizure of buckets containing nearly 1,474 pounds of methamphetamine (here).
- Also on Sept. 22, Office of Field Operations officials at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Texas intercepted $1.6 million in alleged cocaine concealed in a trailer hauling a shipment of limes arriving from Mexico, CBP said Sept. 24. Physical inspection led to the discovery of 50 packages of alleged cocaine with a combined weight of 125.66 pounds concealed within the trailer. The cocaine has a total estimated street value of $1,677,852 (here).
