As part of the deployment, CBP will also enhance existing error code ID08 to return the import tracking identification number (ITIN), entry number, and line number (here).
- On Sept. 13, ACE Collections plans to deploy a secure digital payment option for trade users to pay bills online through a new Pay.gov form (CBP Bill Payments) (here).
- An update to Automated Export System (AES) Appendix F – New Department of Commerce/Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) License Type Code C78 has been posted on CBP's website (here).

- CBP is informing the Office of Management and Budget of several information collection activities it is planning to conduct. Comments on these information collection activities are due by Nov. 12. One information collection would be an extension of collecting data related to duty-free treatment of containers or holders. Subheading 9803.00.50 allows for the release of these containers without entry or payment of duty, and instead of requiring an importer to file entry documents, the marking of the containers or holders may indicate the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S. numbers that provide for duty-free treatment of the containers or holders (here).
- CBP also gave notice it is planning to extend information collection activities related to bonds for temporary importation. The agency said that a first phase enabling importers and brokers to submit CBP documents and PGA forms via the Document Image System, specifically, the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), was limited to certain CBP and PGA forms, but subsequent deployment phases of DIS will incorporate additional forms and these other forms may be referenced in the DIS implementation guidelines. Comments are due by Nov. 12 (here).
- CBP also is seeking to extend information collection activities related to administrative rulings. The agency says the information collection enables CBP to make proper decisions regarding the issuance of binding rulings that modify or revoke prior CBP binding rulings. Comments are due by Nov. 12 (here).
