CPSC Plans Information Collection Targeting Automatic Residential Garage Door Operators

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is seeking to continue to collect information related to the safety standard for automatic residential garage door operators, it said in a Federal Register notice.

CPSC is notifying the Office of Management and Budget of its information collection plans. Comments are due by Oct. 14.

According to the notice, regulations governing safety standards for automatic residential garage door operators require manufacturers, importers and private labelers of the products to establish and maintain records to demonstrate compliance with the requirements for testing to support certification of compliance.
