Taiwan Narrow Woven Ribbons: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on narrow woven ribbons with woven selvedge from Taiwan (A-583-844). The agency assigned the only two companies remaining under review -- Lace Fashions Industrial Co., Ltd. and Trydent Co., Ltd. -- an AD rate of 137.2%. If Commerce's findings for the two companies are continued in the final results, subject merchandise from Lace Fashions and Trydent will be assessed AD at that rate for entries during the period Sept. 1, 2023, through Aug. 31, 2024. Any changes to the two companies' cash deposit rates would take effect upon publication in the Federal Register of the final results of this review, currently due in January.

Commerce also is ending the review for 57 other companies, either because the requests for review of those companies were withdrawn (five companies) or there were no reviewable suspended entries from them during the review period (52 companies). The companies are listed in Appendix II of the notice. Subject merchandise from these 57 companies entered September 2023 though August 2024 will be liquidated as entered at the cash deposit rate in effect at time of entry, or withdrawal from warehouse, for consumption.
Commerce has already ordered liquidation "as entered" at the cash deposit rate in effect at time of entry for subject merchandise entered Sept. 1, 2022, through Aug. 31, 2023, that was exported by companies that are not under review (i.e., all except Lace Fashions and Trydent). Cash deposit rates for all other exporters of subject merchandise will not change as a result of this review (ADCVDWeb Message # 4331426).
