The cargo systems message providing guidance on the additional steel derivatives is available here, and the CSMS message for guidance on the additional aluminum derivatives is available here.

For the additional steel derivatives, CBP noted that the non-steel content of an article reported on a separate line is subject to reciprocal tariffs under Harmonized Tariff Schedule 9903.01.25. The steel content subject to Section 232 duties is not subject to reciprocal tariffs under HTS 9903.01.33.

CBP also outlined the smelt and cast reporting requirements for the additional aluminum derivatives.

As reported late last week, Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum derivatives, currently set at 50%, covered 407 additional HTS subheadings starting just after midnight on Aug. 18.
