CBP Confirms Altana's Participation in GBI Test Program
CBP is adding Altana Technologies USG as an identity management company that participating importers and licensed customs brokers can use to input company information under what's now called the Global Business Identifier (GBI) Test program, according to a Federal Register notice.

The notice also changed the program's name from the GBI evaluative proof of concept.
In May, CBP informed the Office of Management and Budget of its plans for the GBI Test, which included adding Altana as a voluntary identity management company (see 2505270012). Altana, a tech startup that seeks to use AI to map global supply chains, joins existing identity management companies Dun & Bradstreet, GS1 and the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation.
In January, CBP said it would be adding the company's Altana ID (ALTA) as one of the identifiers that filers can use in the GBI test (see 2501140008).
