APHIS Seeks to Extend Data Collection on Poultry Imports From 2 Mexican States
The USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is asking the Office of Management and Budget to allow the agency to continue information collection on imports of poultry meat and poultry products from the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Sonora, saying that these two states pose negligible risk of introducing Newcastle disease, it said in a Federal Register notice.

APHIS wants to continue this information collection for an additional three years. This includes collection of information on foreign meat inspection certificates, serially numbered seals, emergency action notification, and pre-arrival notifications, APHIS said.
Comments on this information collection are due by Sept. 23.
