CBP Now Says 32 HTS Numbers Available Per Entry Summary Line on June 28
CBP said it will be deploying on June 28 an enhancement in the ACE production environment that will increase the number of Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers allowed per entry summary line to 32, up from eight HTS numbers presently. The number had been expected to increase to 16, according to a CBP announcement earlier this month (see 2506130068).

This modification also will apply to reconciliation and drawback entry summaries, CBP said in a June 25 cargo systems message.
Ahead of the June 28 deployment date, CBP said it will deploy the related updates in the ACE certification environment on June 26 for software testing. The agency said it would send another CSMS message when the CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) documents are updated to reflect the increase to 32 HTS numbers per entry summary line.
CBP's update comes as the agency indicated nearly two weeks ago that the agency would be deploying an enhancement in the ACE production environment that would increase the number of HTS numbers allowed per entry summary line to 16 HTS numbers. That process was to have started June 14, with deployment on June 28.
CBP officials said at the Trade and Cargo Security Summit in New Orleans in early May that the increase in HTS numbers per entry summary line was imminent (see 2505070020).
