- On June 11, the Department of Commerce initiated a less-than-fair-value and countervailing duty investigation on hardwood and decorative plywood from China (A-570-211/C-570-212), Indonesia (A-560-844/C-560-845) and Vietnam (A-552-851/C-552-852) (see 2506170036) (here).
- Electronic Export Manifest will be updating disposition codes for AIR IATA to promote accurate formatting in the EEM party detail (here).
- Updated entry summary status notification and ACE cargo release SO status notification documents have been posted on CBP.gov. These updates accommodate the increase in Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes accepted (see 2506130068) (here).
- U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered a large-scale narcotics smuggling tunnel between Tijuana, Mexico, and the San Diego area, a June 20 release from CBP said. Agents in early April discovered the tunnel, which is uncompleted and runs more than 1,000 feet inside the U.S. The tunnel ran from within a residence in Tijuana, under a portion of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, with a projected exit point near or within a nearby commercial warehouse space (here).
