Russia Sanctions Bill Making Progress, Senator Says
The Senate is getting closer to formally considering a bill that would impose a wide range of sanctions on Russia and its supporters if Moscow refuses to reach a peace deal with Ukraine, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said June 17.

“We got one technical problem we’re trying to get through, but I think we’re just pretty much there,” Graham told Export Compliance Daily. “We’re in a pretty good spot.”
Graham said he doesn’t know if the Sanctioning Russia Act will go through the Senate Banking Committee first or head directly to the Senate floor. The legislation, which Graham and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., introduced in April, has more than 80 Senate co-sponsors (see 2504020003, 2505220052 and 2506100057).
