India Sodium Nitrite: Prelim Results of CVD Admin Review
The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its countervailing duty administrative review of sodium nitrite from India (C-533-907). Rates set in this review would be used to set assessments on importers from the exporters under review for subject merchandise entered June 21, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2023.

Commerce said it intends to rescind the review for three companies with no entries of subject merchandise during the review period: Kutch Chemical Industries; Palvi Industries Limited; and Lotus Global Pvt. Ltd. Comments on this notice of intent are invited.
Only the exporters for which an administrative review was requested are covered by this review. Cash deposit rates for all other exporters will not change. Commerce has ordered liquidation “as entered” for entries during the period of review from all exporters for which a review was not requested (ADCVDWeb Message # 4135412).
When the final results are issued, Commerce will determine, and CBP will assess, CVD on all appropriate entries covered by this review at the applicable rates listed for the corresponding time period (i.e., June 21, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022, and Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023).
Cash Deposit Requirements
For companies that remain subject to review, new CVD cash deposit requirements may take effect beginning on the date of publication of the final results in the Federal Register, currently scheduled for October. Commerce preliminarily calculated the following CVD cash deposit rates:
