APHIS Reopens Comment Period for Pest Risk Analysis Related to Chrysanthemums
USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is reopening a comment period for two notices: a pest risk analysis to import Chrysanthemum spp., synonymous genera cuttings and in vitro plantlets into the U.S., and an economic evaluation on regulating chrysanthemum white rust as a quarantine pest.

Comments are due on June 26, according to the APHIS notice.
APHIS said it reopened the comment period because it revised the pest risk analysis. In response to comments received during the last comment period,
APHIS first proposed new procedures for amending import restrictions on cut flowers, and simultaneously proposed ending restrictions on cut flowers from countries that are hosts of chrysanthemum white rust in April 2023 (see 2304170050).
