China Wooden Bedroom Furniture: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890). The agency said it preliminarily determined that Shenzhen New Fudu Furniture Co., Ltd. isn't eligible for a separate rate, assigning it to the China-wide entity, which has an AD rate of 216.01%. If Commerce continues this finding in its final results, it will assess AD on subject merchandise imported from New Fudu at that 216.01% rate. A new 216.01% cash deposit rate for New Fudu would take effect upon publication of the final results of this review in the Federal Register.

Commerce determined there were no entries of subject merchandise from the following seven companies for which a review was initiated and which don't have a separate rate: (1) Dorbest Ltd.; (2) Fine Furniture (Shanghai) Ltd.; (3) Rui Feng Lumber Development Co., Ltd.; (4) Rui Feng Woodwork Co., Ltd.; (5) Wanvog Furniture (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.; (6) Yeh Brothers World Trade Inc.; and (7) Zhongshan Fookyik Furniture Co., Ltd. Because these seven companies have no entries of subject merchandise during the review period, and they didn't have a separate rate, all seven companies remain in the China-wide entity.
Commerce also is rescinding the review for nine companies that had no suspended, reviewable entries during the review period, calendar year 2023. See Appendix III to the notice for a complete list of these companies. Subject merchandise from these nine companies entered January 2022 through December 2022 will be liquidated as entered at the cash deposit rate in effect at the time of entry.
Commerce has already ordered liquidation as entered for subject merchandise entered Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023, that was exported by companies that are not under review (i.e., all except the companies listed above) (ADCVDWeb Message # 4102407).
(The period of review is 01/01/23 - 12/31/23. See the notice for additional information, including the scope of the order, potential cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.)
