Effective 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 2, requests for de minimis entry and clearance for ineligible shipments will be rejected, CBP said. Merchandise also no longer can be entered using Type 86, the agency said. Entries must be made in ACE.
CBP will publish a Federal Register notice confirming this guidance before May 2.
CBP also noted that it will provide additional guidance via a separate CSMS message for shipments entering via international mail.
