The new name of the trade summit is "Trade and Cargo Security Summit." In past years, it was known as the "Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security Summit."
CBP made the change around March 27, according to the Wayback Machine.
The name change comes amid observations by the trade community that President Donald Trump's Cabinet could focus more on trade enforcement rather than trade facilitation (see 2503270058).
Registration for the summit is open through April 24, according to a March 21 cargo systems message. The registration link is available through the CSMS message.
