  • Effective March 21, CBP is extending import restrictions on certain archaeological material from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, it said in a Federal Register notice. The extension will last through Jan. 14, 2030. The principal deputy assistant secretary for educational and cultural affairs with the State Department made the requisite determinations for extending the import restrictions, which were originally imposed by CBP Decision 20–02. "These import restrictions are being extended pursuant to an exchange of diplomatic notes," CBP said, noting that this extension was first proposed in April 2024 (here).
  • CBP officers at an Indianapolis express consignment facility seized four packages of counterfeit Botox vial with a suggested retail price of $8,500 had the products been real, the agency said in a March 19 release. Three shipments came from the same shipper in Great Britain and were manifested as "Marketing Product Samples," while one shipment came from Indonesia and was manifested as "Cosmetic Preparations." Two packages were destined for different residences in Michigan, the third package was bound for a California residence, and the fourth was bound for a New Jersey residence. Officers seized 14 glass Botox vials (100 units), one glass Botox vial (200 units) and one glass Dysport vial (500 units), CBP said (here).
