- CBP said in a March 11 cargo systems message that updates to Entry Summary Bond Validations would deploy on March 12. Effective March 12, the entry summary bond validations would be modified to use the valid from and valid to dates at the business partner level (principal, co-principal, and user) to find the valid continuous bond for the importer of record (here)
- The changes related to the FDA ACE Supplemental Guide (Draft Version 2.5.12 updated Jan. 15) that are expected to deploy on March 29 to CBP’s PRODUCTION environment are now available in CBP’s CERTIFICATION environment (here)
- CBP corrected an earlier CSMS message on webinars hosted by the National Commodity Specialist Division (see 2503110081). CBP is registering attendees for the webinars scheduled for April and will proceed with monthly registrations for the remaining webinars (here)
- CBP officers with the Office of Field Operations intercepted $2.4 million of methamphetamine in a shipment of Persian limes at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Texas on March 7, according to a March 12 news release. A commercial tractor trailer making entry from Mexico was selected for inspection, and CBP officers discovered a total of 960 packages of alleged methamphetamine weighing 268.96 pounds concealed within the shipment (here).
