CBP Processed More Than 2.7 Million Entries in February

CBP processed more than 2.7 million entries in February valued at more than $303 billion, according to the agency's monthly update released on March 12. CBP also said nearly $7.6 billion in duties would be collected by the U.S. government.

In comparison, CBP processed 2.9 million entry summaries in January valued at more than $338 billion, the agency said last month.

To prevent goods produced by forced labor in the Xinjiang region of China, CBP in February stopped 1,024 shipments valued at more than $9.73 million for further examination based on the suspected use of forced labor.

CBP also seized 1,815 shipments containing counterfeit goods valued at more than $525 million if real, and it conducted 28 audits in February, identifying $2.9 million in duties and fees owed to the U.S. government.

The agency's agricultural specialists also issued 6,421 emergency action notifications in February for restricted and prohibited plant and animal products entering the U.S.
