  • Update to the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements – Appendix A – Response Code 26C has been posted to CBP.gov (here)
  • REMINDER: Upcoming deployment for FDA ACE changes specified in FDA ACE Supplemental Guide 2.5.12. The changes identified in these messages are expected to be deployed to the CBP ACE PRODUCTION environment on March 1 (here)
  • ACE Certification Standard Invasive Maintenance Window, Feb. 26 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST (here)
  • CBP officers intercepted a combined 257 pounds of opium poppy pods that arrived via 81 shipments at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia last week, the agency said in a Feb. 24 release. The shipments traveled via air cargo from Madrid, Spain, and included 35 parcels of poppy pods seized on Feb. 21; 49 parcels of poppy pods seized on Feb. 19; and 32 parcels of poppy pods seized on Feb. 12. Taken together, the shipments of poppy pods had an estimated street value of $25,000. All were manifested as "ornamental decora craft balls" and destined to multiple addresses in the U.S. The poppy plant is controlled under Schedule II of the federal Controlled Substances Act (here).
