The review started with four companies: Kiswire Sdn. Bhd. and Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn. Bhd., which were selected for individual examination; Southern Steel Sdn. Bhd.; and Southern PC Steel Sdn. Bhd. The review was preliminarily rescinded for Southern Steel, which had no reviewable, suspended entries of subject merchandise during the review period June 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023. The final results upheld the recission.
New AD cash deposit requirements take effect Feb. 21 for the three companies remaining in the review. Commerce calculated the following AD cash deposit rates:
Exporter | AD Rate |
---|---|
Kiswire Sdn. Bhd. | zero |
Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn. Bhd. | 0.73% |
Southern PC Steel Sdn. Bhd. | 0.73% |
For exporters of subject merchandise that were not under review (i.e., all except the three listed above), cash deposit rates remain at the level set in the most recent review of each respective company. If the exporter has never been assigned its own AD rate but the manufacturer has, the rate assigned to the manufacturer applies. For merchandise manufactured and exported by companies that have never been assigned a cash deposit rate by Commerce, the all others rate of 5.13% applies.
Importers of subject merchandise exported by Kiswire will not be assessed AD, and subject merchandise exported by Wei Dat during the period June 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023, will be assessed AD at importer-specific rates. Exports by Southern PC will be assessed AD at the rate listed above.
(The review period is 06/01/22 - 05/31/23. See Commerce's notice for more information, including the scope of the order, detailed cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc. See 2407100035 for a summary of the preliminary results of this administrative review.)
