The schedule, updated on Jan. 17 and made available Jan. 21, says the third release of the deployment will occur "no sooner than" Feb. 18. The December schedule had the third release occurring on Feb. 11.

The third release "withholds release of ineligible shipments in ACE to enforce the $800 threshold," according to the January schedule.

The change comes as CBP had performance issues with the second release, thus delaying its deployment until Jan. 18 (see 2501170074).

In addition to updating the target deployment date of the third release of the Section 321 enhancement, CBP pushed back the deployment date for removing and restoring filers' ability to file Type 86, from February to April. CBP says this enhancement automates the removal and restoration of Type 86 test participants.

CBP also said it added a new task to the schedule. This enhancement, ACE Portal Modernization: Migration of User Access Management to the Modernized ACE Portal, seeks to migrate ACE Portal access management to the modernized ACE Portal, and it will include the creation, modification and removal of users’ ACE Portal access, CBP said. CBP began developing this enhancement in September 2023, and it has set next month as the target deployment date.

CBP also updated the deployment dates for two ACE Collections enhancements. The Interest for Non-Tariff Bills enhancement has been pushed from this month to next, while the Debt Management Functions for Non-Tariff Bills enhancement has been pulled ahead from March to Feb. 1.

CBP conveyed that the January ACE schedule was publicly available, via a Jan. 21 cargo systems message.
