  • The government of Chile will soon be sending electronic certification data to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service for products under FSIS jurisdiction exported to the U.S. Once implemented, paper inspection certificates issued by the Central Competent Authority in Chile will not be required by FSIS (here)
  • An updated Automated Broker Interface Software Vendors List has been posted online (here)
  • On Jan. 23, CBP will retire the Trade Export data universe in ACE Reports. Before the retirement, trade community users of ACE Reports must transition any work they perform with the Trade Export universe to the Automated Export System universe (here)
  • The ACE CATAIR Entry Summary Create/Update (v100) has been updated with a change for the 54-record, Type 07 (Aluminum Smelt and Cast Country Detail) (here)
  • CBP's field operations officers seized nearly 74 pounds of cocaine worth $987,872 at the Pharr International Bridge in Texas on Jan. 14, CBP said in a release. The packages of cocaine were concealed within a tractor making entry from Mexico. CBP officers conducted an inspection of the tractor at the Pharr cargo facility (here).
