FDA Allows Use of Myoglobin as Coloring in Ground Meat Analogues
The FDA is amending its color additive regulations to allow for the use of myoglobin to color ground beef and poultry analogue products, it said. The change was requested by Motif FoodWorks. The order takes effect Feb. 19.
