EPA Mulls High-Priority Substances Designation for 5 Chemical Substances
EPA is initiating the prioritization process for five chemical substances as candidates for designation as High-Priority Substances for risk evaluation, according to a notice. The substances are 4-tert-Octylphenol, benzene, ethylbenzene, naphthalene and styrene.

The agency is accepting comments and any relevant information on these chemical substances through March 18. EPA is conducting this process under the Toxic Substances Control Act and related regulations.
